I finished watching Katanagatari this week, the ending left me speechless, I’m not sure what to say about it but overall it was a pretty awesome show!
Each episode is like 50 mins long and there’s 12 eps. The story is about a guy (Shichika) and a girl (Togame) going on an sword hunt adventure, there are 12 swords in total so I guess you can say there’s about 1 sword per episode.
I loved the traditional art and clothing which are so colorful and bright! there were TONS of characters and Japanese terms~ even after finishing the show I still have no idea what are the names for each attack move and each sword is lol. There were also so many characters like.. ninjas, samurai(s), and stuff.
If you plan on watching, I’ll have to warn you. The amount of conversation in this show is beyond long, sometimes you have a whole episode where 2 characters talk straight for 50 mins and no I’m not exaggerating on that part, sometimes the dialogue can be funny tho xD for the action part, hmm I would say the fighting stays constant throughout the whole series. There’s a lot of bloodshed too~ In this era, killing isn’t a sin, you’ll be seeing many people dying so don’t get too attached to any characters.

I should stop myself from blabbering on~ but I’d like to mention one last thing. which is THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTED EVAR, I feel sorry for those who were keeping up with Katanagatari while it was airing. It’s not much of a spoiler since nothing really happened. See the picture below?

OMG THIS BATTLE NEVER FREAKIN SHOWED. ZERO. NONE WHATSOEVER. Arghhh all they did was talk about it -_- I bet everyone felt so trolled. it was so damn disappointing.

I have only seen the first three episodes of this, one day I will have to go back and finish it off. I loved this anime’s art style so amazing! And characters are so fun to watch even the fighting scenes rock!
You only seen 3 so far? oh I guess you would have seen that epic trailer then >;3 so awesome looking! it took me like 2 days to marathon 7 episodes. I think it gets better :3 yeeah I love the art too, it reminds me A LOT like Muramasa. The fight scenes would be so good if only that one battle between Sabi was shown xD
Oh I shall watch it soonish! Probably during the whole spring going into summer thing we usually get a few days of no updates so that gives me a chance :P

The fact that we didn’t get to to see the epicest of the epicests fights on anime (Hakouto Hari VS Sichika) is THE ONLY thing I didn’t like about Katanagatari but the rest of the show was awesome enough to make this one, if not the most, of my favorite shows of all time~!
Yeah same here!!! I’m still so sad that we didn’t get to see the fight. Just watching the trailer makes me SO depressed D: whoa really? your favorite? I would say.. code geass should be everyone’s favorite. XD. My favorite thing about Katanagatari is the characters, they’re all so interesting and also all the sexual/fan service stuff~ it made me laugh so much xD
