Durarara!! 22
Welcome back after last weeks crazy ending we follow Anri and the group of Yellow Scarfs leading her into a dark alley, Mikado freaks out and assembles his Dollars to act and give his friend Anri some help who gives the gang the slip running away from them. We get to see a how fast the Dollars respond to the bosses orders helping her out, she even escapes wearing a bunny outfit ( sadly not a bunny outfit we want lol) But the gang catches up to her anyway just as Anri is about to unleash her blade Shizuo is in the background arguing with his phone (its all those chain texts) He saves Anri but forgets who she is, as Celty arrives to take the girl back to her place where she meets with Shinra. ( yay slumber party?! ) Mikado relieved Anri is safe he returns to his house to think things over about the Dollars.( Oh and Kida gets pimp slapped by Anri after he “saves” her from the gang go Anri! )
After getting beaten the Scarfs want to get revenge against the Dollars and decide to go on another rampage around the city. Mikado hears word of them attacking his group again and does something drastic disbanding the Dollars by shutting down the website. ( way to go bro…way to go..) With the Dollars shutting down Izaya sees this as a chance to continue his master plans, what ever those are. Yellow scarfs take a drastic change in the new leadership pulling a gun on Shizou and shooting him two times telling him this was Kida’s orders they leave Shizuo on the ground bleeding. ( NOoooooooooooo!!! T_T ) We return to Anri with Celty as she wants to bring Mikado over so he can finally tell her how he is involved in everything, the episode ends with Anri looking out the window waiting for Celty to return.

Final thoughts
This episode was both Interesting and odd at the same time for me. The highlight for me had to be seeing all the Dollars coming to aid Anri in her escape, showing me they can be a great group if they have a common goal in helping someone out. Another great thing that most people have commented on was Anri slapping Kida who really deserved it after getting into a verbal fight with her so I liked that part as well, As for the rest of the episode it felt kind of slow and boring to me with not much going on besides Izaya plotting his next move. But surprised to see my favorite character Shizuo getting shot in a really coward way by the Scarfs, hopefully hes not done for the rest of the series but if he does die to me it makes his character even better, mostly because hes like Kamina to me really cool and fun character. Mikado wimping out shutting down Dollars is kind of a let down too, but I can understand why hes probably tired of putting them in danger as a leader it’s something he had to do. So this week a slow and semi boring episode but still cant wait to see how things come to a end thanks for visiting and commenting!
The dollars helping Anri was great, although I don’t understand how the scarves kept managing to find her again. “I can’t read that many words” – best scene in the series for me so far :lol:.
I doubt Shizuo will be dead, that would totally suck. I reckon he’ll pop up at a convenient time to pummel Izaya. Same with the dollars disbanding – I suspect the members will continue on without their leader in some form. That’s just my speculation though, so I’ll be interested to see how this all turns out.
Yeah seeing the dollars in action was great to see, well they used Anri’s features to find her easily lol.. Agreed “I can’t read many words” that was pretty funny coming from Shizuo.
True I don’t think hes dead either, but if he does remember Kida’s name some ones gonna be hurting by the end of episode 23! yeah or go for Izaya finally.
Yeah I can see that as well maybe break off and form their own gang like the Dollars. Still fun to watch I am both sad and excited to see this end, mostly wanting to see things happen bored with Mikado and Kida as characters now kind of a huge let down but maybe things will end on a good note? -shrug- wait and see.
